As we head into the summer months, we are thrilled to announce that we are now part of the Lions Reading Action Program. We have always tried to put children's books into family hampers, but now the Lions will help by supplying us with books. Thank you to the Lions for inviting us to be part of an excellent program to support literacy!

The Women on a Mission giant cheque was presented last night at the site of our future facility. Thank you to all organizers, volunteers and supporters of this awesome organization's fundraising event. Seven thousand dollars was donated to "raise the roof" of the food bank!!! Can't wait till next week when Women on a Mission fills out the cheque and makes the presentation to the food bank! They wanted to keep it a surprise till the night of the presentation, but said it was a record year for their fundraiser event.

Thank you to all the ladies who planned and those who attended the WOAM fundraiser event on Saturday, May 3rd. A food donation as part of admission added up to 237.5 lbs to help the Ailsa Craig & Area Food Bank support families throughout our service area! Thank you to the Catholic Women's League of Sacred Heart Parish in Parkhill for their generous donation and all the hard work that went into raising it! We're $1000.00 closer to our new home.

I want to start with a thank you to the many people who have supported both the work of the food bank and our building campaign fundraising efforts over the past months.
